MIKE RUE RUSSELL. Mike was born Dec. 2, 1950, in El Paso, he grew up
in Orange, TX and spent most of his adult life in Dallas. He
succumbed to cancer surrounded by his family and loved ones on May
23, 2004. Known affectionately by his Pun-Off peers as "Wheel Chair
Guy," Mike served as a "roll model" for all who knew him. With a
sense of humor that transcended the weight life's heaviest burdens,
Mike's smile was a light that brightened the face of everyone he
encountered. While his absence at the Pun-Off may raise the overall
level of decorum and good taste, our enjoyment will forever be
diminished by his passing.
