PUN-OFF RULES & TOPICS LIST PunPunPun.com > O. HENRY PUN-OFF 2007 > PUN-OFF RULES & TOPICS LIST Topics used in High-Lies & Low-Puns Competition Topic prompts used for battle in the HL/LP competition (a.k.a. Punslingers) have traditionally been selected at random. This year we've undertaken the daunting task of weeding, rethinking and redefining many of these time-tested but cumbersome topic cues. While the range of subjects available for play will still be broad and generous, this year's contestants will find themselves working within some interesting new boundaries. (No advance list was made available at press time)
As usual will have a "cash vote" of the audience for the final round of play. You will be invited to determine the topic by literally putting your money where our mouths are. Below is a sample list of some of the topic groupings we have used over the years. (There is no guarantee that any of these topic groupings will appear this year in exactly this form)
